One of my goals for 2020 was to cut down on single use plastic. Like plastic water bottles, to go cups, plastic bags, etc. One of the easiest things for me to swap out would be the plastic bottles. I swapped out water bottles for reusable cups and bottles. And since it is earth day (happy earth day!) I thought I would talk about my progress this year so far and my favorite reusable cups and bottles that I have replaced everything with,

How it’s going…

If I am being completely honest, everything started off great. I made it through all of January & February without using any plastic water bottles. But then March rolled around and things took a turn. I didn’t go completely off the deep end but I did use a plastic water bottle and forgot my reusable Starbucks cup at one of my Starbucks runs. There is good news though. With the pandemic, I have been home a lot and my single use plastic usage has gone down again.

So honestly, it has been going pretty well. But i think it has been easier lately because of the abundance of reusable cups & bottles in my pantry. Oh and having a dishwasher.🙈 My favorite cup right now is my yeti. Yes i have been converted to the yeti life but it is just so convenient. This cup keeps my hot beverages hot, and the cold beverages cold for a very long time. If you do not have one, or something like it, I would suggest investing in a reusable tumbler.
