best golf magazines

I love reading magazines! Like seriously. I am a sucker for any fashion mag I can get my hands on. Now golf magazines, that is a different story. I am so picky with my golf magazines and I am loyal to only a couple. Here are the best golf magazines in my opinion…

Golf Digest

Whenever I am looking for “traditional” golf information, I usually go to Golf Digest. They are great for player profiles, tips, course previews & new product releases. To me, Golf Digest seems to be mostly about professional golf &/or golf tips. The golf tips are pretty good but are very generic and can be quite difficult to the weekend warrior. I would take each tip “with a grain of salt” and test everything on the range before taking it to the course.

It does a great joy with keeping up with the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, Web.com Tour & Champions Tour. They keep up with the players, caddies & courses that the tours play at each week.

Although they are great for professional golf, they do seem to pass over any amateur or college golf info. I wish that they did keep up with it more but there are plenty of other magazines that pick up the slack (see below).

Golf

This magazine is very similar to Golf Digest (above) and they cover almost all of the same topics. Golf Magazine covers the PGA Tour (mostly but they do cover other tours), equipment, instruction, courses & travel.

They do a great job of giving you instruction but it is very generic instruction most of the time.

My favorite aspect of the magazine is when they do player profiles & dig into their bags & equipment. I love seeing what the professional players are using and they favorite pieces of equipment.

GolfWeek

GolfWeek is that perfect blend of professional golf & amateur golf. They do a great job of keeping up with the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, Web.com Tour & Champions Tour as well as the Latin American Tour, Canadian Tour & smaller mini-tours. They have all of the rankings every week and keep up with the FedEx Cup.

GolfWeek also does a great job of keeping up with amateur, college and junior golf. They are up to date on all of the rankings & do a great job of keeping up to date with all of the tournaments. I personally love this aspect of the magazine because I was once that amateur/college golfer and I loved being able to keep up with everything.

Women’s Golf Journal

This magazine is a newer magazine and I really enjoy reading it. It is specific for women so everything is geared to us ladies. Even the ads are geared toward women!

The Women’s Golf Journal has the perfect mix of golf, fashion, beauty, shopping, travel, work & women’s golf. It keeps up with the latest trends in fashion, all the recent news in the golf world, how to take golf to the business world, where to travel for a golf trip, beauty tips & the best locations to shop for the latest trends.

If you are a lady who golfs, then this is a magazine that you should probably consider looking into. It supports women and golf so why wouldn’t you want to read it!
