dress details: yellow gingham shirtdress

i have a funny story about this yellow gingham shirtdress! well not really funny but happy! so i have been eyeing this dress for a long time. i saw pictures before the release, and then when the collection went live at target, i went straight to the store to get the dress. of course they didn’t have my size. i could have ordered it online but i just wasn’t sure with the fit (i have a hard time finding shirtdresses that fit properly) so i wanted to make sure i could try it on.

so i waited. and waited some more. and then the day before i was supposed to be leaving for the beach, i drove up to my local target to get some last minute essentials for the upcoming trip. i told myself that i was just going to “look” at the clothing because i didn’t really need to buy anything. and then… from the corner of my eye… i saw the dress. i walked over to the display and started looking at the sizing. then i saw it. the  yellow gingham shirtdress in my size. it was right there. so of course i had to buy it! and i am so happy i did. the fit is perfect, i loved the color, the length, the ruffle detail and the puff sleeve. oh it is just perfect! i am so happy that i waited and got the dress.

i actually ended up going home and washing the dress so that i could wear it the next day 🙂
