There are two many things you will want to consider when deciding what to wear to a golf tournament. Those two things are the weather & how active you plan on being.

Let’s start with the weather first. I always suggest that people watch the weather for the week going into the event and then weather after the event. It can change so quickly from day to day that you really want to be prepared with options. For example, if it is supposed to rain two days before the event, it might be a good thing for you to plan on rain because it could get pushed back to the day you plan on being at the golf tournament.

Another thing to consider with the weather would be the sun. I have very fair skin so I try to be as covered as possible so that I do not burn. I almost always wear a hat and sunglasses to protect my face. I also carry a small bag with me so that I have sunscreen with me at all times.

As for how active you plan on being… in my opinion there are two different types of spectators. The spectator that hangs in a hospitality house all day and enjoys the tournament for there and the spectator that is out on the course walking and following the golfers. If you plan on staying in one place and not doing a lot of walking, you can get away with a bit more. Let’s call that person The Social Spectator. If you plan on walking around on the course, then you are going to want to be comfortable. Let’s call that person The Avid Spectator. Here are two different options depending on what you plan on doing.
