One of the most asked question I get this time of year is actually a very simple one for me. Not only is this my favorite time of year for the weather, it is also my favorite time of year for fashion. I love everything about fall clothes and some of my favorite pieces of all time and for this season.
So you might be thinking…
What are my fall essentials?
Well lets dive in! So there are probably 5 things that I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT for fall. These are basically my “fall essentials” and I think that with everyones wardrobe, they are basically necessary.
A Great Pair of Jeans | When the weather gets cooler, I literally live in jeans. Whether it is just basic pair of jeans, your favorite boyfriend jeans or a pair of black jeans, it Isi important to have at lease one go-to pair of jeans. I have two pairs of jeans that I will live in this fall. These skinny, stretch jeans from Old Navy & my flare 7FAM A-pockets.
UPDATE: Keep in mind you don’t have to opt for a “traditional” blue jean. I live in my black jeans all fall. I think they are so versatile and simple. Also, if you live in the south like I do… I totally disregard the “white after labor day” rule. I wear my white jeans all year round.
A Chambray Shirt | One my go-to tops during fall is a chambray shirt. It is also basically my go-to top during any season. So I basically live in this top. I actually own 3 different chambray tops: Nordstrom, Old Navy, J.Crew.
Mules | I recently got a new pair of mules to celebrate the upcoming fall season and I have fallen in love with them. I love the Gucci mules but they were a bit steep in price. Luckily for me I found an alternative with a fraction of the price! And to top it of… they are from Target!
Lightweight Jacket | The lightweight jacket is one of the easiest pieces to obtain for the fall season. This fall essential is also one of my favorites. There are so many different options so you can really have fun with it. My go-to lightweight jacket is a jean jacket. I got mine from The Loft and it is a staple for every season for me. You can also go with a leather jacket, cargo jacket, boyfriend blazer or bomber jacket. Pick whichever suits your style best!
Transition Bag | For me, I have “two” bags that I call my transition bags. My Louis Vuitton in the classic monogram is always my go-to for the fall months. I love the rich color of the browns in the bag and it is a classic piece. The other “transition” bag is usually something more trendy, Last year I carried a army green bucket bag but this year is still up for debate. I am loving the new bags at target so I might have to pick one up. Check them out below…

All of these items are perfect for the transition of fall weather & fall colors. Mix and match with what you have and have fun with it! One tip that I will give you… If you want to be careful on the budget, do not spend a lot of money on “seasonal” or “trendy” items. Splurge on the classics and save on the trendy.
