Fall is finally here and I couldn’t be more excited. There are so many things that I want to do when the leaves start doing so I thought a fall bucket list would be perfect… not only for me but for you!
I have put together some of my favorite fall activities that I thought we would all enjoy. Check them out below…
Go to a Pumpkin Patch
This is a very traditional fall activity but it is a must do for your fall bucket list. Relive those childhood memories and take a candid picture in the field of pumpkins and pick the pumpkin you want to carve. Maybe even top it off with a hayride. You won’t regret it.
Attend a Football Game – and Tailgate
Nothing says the return of fall like football season. I am a HUGE football fan so obviously this is on the top of my list. The one thing I love about this game is that no matter who we cheer for, we all come together for the game we love. Get your game day outfit ready, call your tailgate crew & channel that team spirit. And don’t worry, you don’t have to just go to an NFL game, there are plenty of college and high school games going on every week – and plus, they are just as fun.
Go Apple Picking
Just like the pumpkin patch, the apple orchard is another fall activity that is a go-to. Once you pick all those apples, make the day even memorable by dipping them in caramel & covering them with your favorite toppings. It is an activity you can enjoy while at the orchard & for many days afterward.
Bake a Pie from Scratch
One of my favorite things about fall are the desserts. And the only thing better than dessert is a homemade dessert. So of course one of the things I had to add to my fall bucket list would be to bake a pie from scratch. Whether its apple or pumpkin (or even chicken pot pie), your house will smell as great as the pie does. Oh! and have the extra piece.
Take a Scenic Drive for Leaf Peeping
I went to school in the mountains and one of my favorite things every fall was going on a drive to look at the foliage. The burst of warm colors and the clean, crisp air just tear at your heart strings and cleanses your soul. Make a cup of hot cocoa to go and hit the road!
Host a Bonfire & Eat S’mores
Are you looking for a go-to fall activity? Building a bonfire in the backyard with s’mores and your best friends. Start your bonfire as the sun goes down & watch the sun set with warm company.
Experiment with New Soup Recipes
Ahhh. Nothing says fall like soups & crockpot recipes. Trial & error in the kitchen is very fun so get out your cookbook & tackle a new recipe. One soup that I am looking forward to trying out would be a vegan tomato soup. What are you thinking about trying?
Have a Movie (& Hot Cocoa) Night with the Girls
Honestly, there is nothing more I love than hanging out with my girls, watching movies & drinking hot cocoa. This is the perfect weekend treat for when work can get stressful during the week. Maybe get a stack of those scary movies and watch some of the classics!
Send Handwritten Notes to Those You Are Thankful For
The art of handwritten notes is fading in today’s society but it is still one of my favorite things to do. I love sending my loved ones a little note in the mail to make them smile. During this fall season, maybe drop them a note telling them why you are so thankful for them.
