I love reading but I am guilty for not giving myself time during the day to spend some time reading a good book. So last year I tried making a promise with myself… I was going to read a book a month. I can finally report back to you… I read 30 books in 2023! This was a big goal for me and I am so happy I met that goal this year!
So lets dive in and check out what I read in 2023…
The Best Books (In My Opinion)
There were a couple 5 (star) reviews in my yearly roundup and gosh these were some good ones! Let’s first start off with The Wedding Veil by Kristy Woodson Harvey. I loved this book! KWH did so much research before writing this book and it definitely shows. The next 5 (star) book was The Five-Star Weekend by Elin Hilderbrand. Again, I loved this book! It was such a great read and I love EH’s style of writing. Fun story, Elin Hilderbrand actually visited where I live on the book tour for this book and I was able to meet her! I finally read Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid – I still haven’t watched the tv show yet because I wanted to read the book first – and it was another 5 (star) read for me! This book was everything I needed at the time and was a fabulous read. I did read 2 other TJR books – Carrie Soto is Back & Malibu Rising and these were great as well! And to finish off the best books I read in 2023, it has to be A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas. This book whisked away to the top of a snowy mountain where you were immersed into a magical and enchanting world with twists and turns and plenty of emotions. This was the second book of a series and as I am writing this, I am on the 5th book of the series and was so worth the read!

if I am being completely honest, I did not read too many books that I didn’t love.There were maybe two or three that weren’t my absolute favorite but I did finish reading them.
