April Book Club

Welcome back my fellow book lovers. It is the second day of the month and that means I am releasing the 2 newest books we will be reading for book club.

The 2 books that I picked have been 2 that I have been eyeing for some time. I think that they have both been in my Amazon wishlist for a while now. I figured it was time to read them and I wanted to share this process with yall. Check them out below!

The Nightingale // “In love we find out who we want to be. In war we find out who we are.” This novel tells the story of two sisters in France during World War II. One is trying to survive while the other is trying to find her purpose during a difficult time with the Nazis invading their homes. This heartbreakingly beautiful novel that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the durability of women. A story for everyone.

I have been dying to get into the book. I have heard so many good things about it – my mother, sister-in-law and grandmother all loved it. I felt it was time for me to get reading. I do have a couple of warnings… 1. you will cry 2. you will finish this book as fast as you possibly can.

A Man Called Ove // This novel tells us the story of Ove… a cranky old man with a story. But can his life be turned upside down when a young couple with two little girls moves in next door? I put this book on my Amazon wishlist as soon as it was released. Since then, I have been told by 3 different strangers to read it. It is finally time for me to sit down and read the wonderful story of Ove.
