I love starting my day off with a smoothie. Especially during the spring & summer, smoothies are basically an every day menu item for breakfast, lunch and dinner for me. So I set out to find the perfect smoothie recipe that could be my go-to for every meal. Or at least some different options to mix it up a bit because there are time I go all week and all I eat are smoothies.

Honestly, when I am making a smoothie I never measure anything out. I just pile it all up in the blender and let the blender do its magic. It took some time to get the right consistency but I still just eyeball it. But there are a couple things you need to remember.

  1. Cut up the fruit and veggies the best you can
  2. For every 1 cup of fruit & veggie, add 1 cup of liquid (for the most part) Here are some liquid options
    • Water
    • Coconut Water
    • Tea
    • Coconut Milk
    • Almond Milk
  3. Play with the texture – if you want it to be thick, use less water. If you want it to be more of a juice, add more water
  4. If you need to sweeten it up, add some honey
