I seriously live in the color black. Like for real. If I had an option between a bright color or black, I would pick the black dress 90% of the time. So when I went shopping to find a new dress to wear for an upcoming wedding, I started looking for color but ended up walking out with another black midi dress. 🙂
When I started my pre-shopping routine, I figured out what kind of style I was looking for in this dress. I knew I want a midi dress with sleeves but it needed to be a light material since it is the dead of summer & extremely warm on the east coast. I was originally looking for a floral print but I obviously opted for the black midi dress… at least it is not a solid black, there is a bit of a print.. and tassles of course!

Black Midi Dress
So I found this dress at T.J. Maxx when I was shopping. I honestly went into this store to just check out the shoe department and look at the home decor on the Home Goods section of the store so I was prepared when I saw this dress. But as soon as I saw this dress I knew it was going to be the one I would wear to this wedding.
Like I said earlier, I knew I wanted to channel the bohemian look and this dress surely does. The flowing skirt, wide sleeves & tassels just completed the look for me. I wasn’t able to find the exact dress but I did find some alternatives & of course the rest of my outfit details. (check them out below!) I paired this dress with black Jack Rogers & black tassel earrings (similar here). But you could totally pair it with nude heels or black wedges.
